SGCCI is actively involved in various social initiatives and programs aimed at promoting social welfare and economic development in the region. It conducts various social activities such as Golden Jubilee Memorial Trust awards and recognition of outstanding contributions by individuals and institutions, Kayami Samadhan Panch for dispute resolution and legal assistance, Surat Citizen Council Trust to assist citizens with public utility services and other problems affecting the public in daily life, and NRG Centre to preserve the bonding spirit of Non-Resident Gujaratis around the world.
